About

Building software since 2015.
Still close to the work.

Kristijan Crnac

I’m Kristijan, a solution architect and hands-on technical partner based in Zagreb. I help make difficult technical decisions usable, then stay close enough to implementation that the direction can survive contact with the real system.

Why independent

I chose the technical track over a people-management-first path because that is where I am most useful. Working directly is the same decision again: the person discussing the trade-offs is also responsible for the agreed work and its hand-off.

WORKING PATTERN

From an unclear system to work people can use.

The platform and the problem change. The responsibility tends to follow the same thread: understand what is happening, make the trade-offs legible and keep the direction connected to delivery.

  1. UNDERSTAND

    Find what is actually happening.

Work through the business context, evidence, dependencies and constraints before choosing a direction.

  2. DECIDE

    Make the trade-offs usable.

Turn the architecture into options, risks and written decisions that technical and non-technical people can use.

  3. DELIVER

Let the real system test the direction.

Stay close enough to implementation to adjust what does not hold and leave a practical hand-off behind.

EXPERIENCE

From software development into solution architecture.

2015–19Software developmentBuilt the engineering foundation in .NET/C#, enterprise web development and customer-facing systems.
  • Built customer-facing components with frontend and quality-assurance colleagues.
  • Helped lead one of the two core teams responsible for the shared platform.
  • Contributed to a major Sitecore upgrade, a release strategy later put into use and detailed technical documentation.
2023–24Composable-commerce proof of conceptLed the design and implementation of an internal proof of concept with repeatable environment provisioning.
2024–nowSolution architecture responsibilityArchitecture work across a complex European commerce platform, connecting system decisions with delivery evidence and implementation constraints.
